Trio Futuro

The Trio Futuro was founded in 2024. The three young musicians, who have been friends since meeting during their pre-college music studies, have performed in this formation since then. In 2025 and 2026, they were awarded First Prize at the German national competition Jugend musiziert, received several special awards, and won the prestigious WDR 3 Classical Music Prize of the City of Münster.

Since 2025, the trio has been scholarship recipients of the Jürgen Ponto Foundation in Berlin.

All three musicians perform on instruments provided by the Instrument Fund of the German Foundation for Musical Life (Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben): Frieda plays a violin by Richard Tobin (London, 1834), Philipp performs on a violin by Carlo Annibale Tononi (Venice, 1727), and Oscar plays a violoncello by Lorenzo & Tomaso Carcassi (Florence, c. 1768).
